Danoz Direct and Fair Trading.

Well it has actually happened. After almost 70 complaints between January and August in 2011, Fair Trading has launched an investigation into Danoz Direct.

If you have any complaints with Danoz Direct, now would be the time to be directing them straight to Fair Trading, as Danoz is under the microscope.

Danoz Direct Refund Policy – Sux

Well it should have been no suprise when I looked at my bank account on the 5th of April and there was a refund from Danoz Direct of $129.95. When they had taken $188.95 out. I actually laughed because that is just what I expected from a company like Danoz Direct.

I decided to wait a couple of days just to see if it had been an honest mistake and any further funds headed my way. Obviously that didn’t happen but I wanted to give them the chance. So at 2pm on the 7th of April I rang Danoz Direct. I actually got through quite quickly and was put through to guy called Martin. After the usual identity check, I asked Martin why the discrepancy of  $59.

They do not refund the postage and handling costs, even though I had cancelled the item and they had taken it upon themselves to attempt delivery. That was $49. And here is the kicker. The double money back guarantee of $10 that you pay, IS NOT REFUNDABLE. So it’s a guarantee to get your money back, that they wont give back. FREAKING INCREDIBLE.

So let’s sum this up. Danoz Direct didn’t deliver something after 49 days. When I cancelled they took it upon themselves to take $188.95 from my bank account the next day, and then they decided to attempt to deliver something the day after that to justify their pathetic grab for my money. Danoz Direct are a company with no backbone, no scruples and NO WAY I will ever have anything to do with them again.

If you’re thinking of purchasing from them don’t just read my blog. Take a look all over the internet at people that have been scammed by this company.  Have nothing to do with Danoz Direct.

Danoz Direct Refund Pending

I waited until the afternoon on the 1st of April to contact Danoz Direct again regarding my refund. You know that whole April fools thing and all. Anyway it was the usual of waiting 10 minutes on hold listening to crappy music until I eventually was answered.

Seems that James hadn’t quite explained the Danoz Direct refund policy procedure to me. Once again being placed on hold while the guy “went to see”, it was then explained that it will take around 10 days for my funds to appear back into my account. This I’m told is the standard amount of time it takes. So I’m figuring it should turn up at the end of the week.

Upon ordering online with Danoz Direct I wasn’t even supplied with an invoice, payment schedule or anything that contained their policies. I found this very strange as any other company I’ve purchased online from has supplied an invoice via email almost immediately. You would think Danoz Direct, being a company that advertises on the TV constantly, would have a system in place that handled that automatically. As I’ve mentioned before, it took 4 phone calls until Danoz Direct sent out an invoice.

In the mean time I’m keeping a close look on my bank account. Wouldn’t surprise me if more payments come out. Let’s hope not and my Danoz Direct refund runs smoothly.

Danoz Direct Scam – Contact Made

It’s was 10am 30th March 2011 when I rang Danoz Direct. After being on hold for 5 minutes I was eventually answered by a guy called James. After going through the preliminaries, we were in my Danoz Direct account.

I asked James why Danoz Direct had taken $188.95 out of my bank account. After a quick check James said that it was my initial payment for my goods that I had received. (I was still keeping it together at this stage) What goods were they? I asked. As,

  1. I hadn’t received anything from Danoz Direct.
  2. I had cancelled my order with Danoz Direct.
  3. Danoz Direct had taken the money before attempting to deliver.

So after some more toing and froing, being put on hold for around another 10 minutes (talking to his manager I would say) James has told me that Danoz Direct would be returning the money to my account and he would ring me when that had been done. Fair enough I said. Thanks for your time.

It’s now 7am on 31st March 2011. Still no contact from Danoz Direct.

Danoz Direct Scam

On the 9th of February 2011, I decided to order a product from Danoz Direct through the Expo channel on my Foxtel. Unfortunately for Expo, because of Danoz Direct I will NEVER order another thing through that station. Let me qualify this by saying I am a regular TVSN customer and have never had a problem with that channel or any product I have purchased.

So on the 23rd of March 2011, yes that’s right 49 days later and I still haven’t received my goods from Danoz Direct, I ring up and cancel my order. I think it’s probably been long enough. Oh and BTW I have rung Danoz Direct 3 times during the wait with no answer to a time frame.

Wouldn’t you know it, on the 25th of March 2011, after I have cancelled my order, Danoz Direct try to deliver the goods, which my partner refused. But now I check my bank account and guess what. Danoz Direct have taken a payment from my account. For something that firstly was cancelled after waiting 49DAYS FOR DELIVERY, and I don’t actually have.

So Danoz Direct have stolen on the 24th of March 2011, that’s right stolen from my bank account a first payment of $188.95.

IN MY OPINION, AND EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO AN OPINION BY LAW, I WOULDN’T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH DANOZ DIRECT AT ALL. THEY, IN MY OPINION ARE SCAM ARTISTS. THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY. THEIR ONLY GOAL IS TO GET YOUR MONEY. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY.

Keep an eye on here for updates. Firstly I will contact Danoz Direct for a refund. We’ll see what their response is. I’m not hoping for much as I required a written invoice from them and it took me 4 phone calls to get that. I should have learned from that.
